Elba Estepona Gran Hotel & Thalasso Spa, Estepona

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The large rooms with nice balconies were comfortable, but mosquitoes in the room on the first night caused a bit of disturbance. It was also disappointing that the sea view we booked was not provided.

I have mixed feelings about the hotel. The rooms were nice even though we booked a King Size Bed and got two single beds, but they smelt a bit damp; however, the views of the grounds and seafront were lovely. The rooms are large, and so are the common areas like the reception, swimming pool, and hotel gardens. The service was excellent, with staff going out of their way to provide recommendations for exploring Andalusia, but they forgot to return something when requested. The location is great if you don't plan on leaving the hotel premises with easy access to the beach, a huge pool, and a dreamlike view, but if you want more outside options, Rhona and Tarifa are nearby. The dining experience was a bit chaotic at times, but the selection was good; however, the price per person seemed high for what was offered. Overall, a decent stay.

The hotel offers spacious and beautifully decorated rooms with lovely views. Although the jacuzzi style bath did not seem to work and our terrace was noisy due to its proximity to the children's pool, the overall experience was great. The service was exceptional, going above and beyond to make our family vacation wonderful. The location provides private beach access and a dreamlike setting, though it's a bit isolated. Dining had a good variety but could improve. The facilities were top-notch.

However, there were issues with cleanliness, some unfriendly staff, and distance from Estepona requiring taxi rides.

The hotel is located between Marbella and Gibraltar, upgraded to a tower room with amazing views. The rooms are so lovely, the service was very helpful and enthusiastic. The dining experience was excellent with an out-of-this-world variety. Close to the beach, the location is great, offering easy access to beautiful towns.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was fantastic, right on the beach with complimentary sunbeds facing towards the sea. The service was top-notch every day, although a bit off-putting not to see efforts to combat bugs. The location was really good, with private access to a lovely sandy beach, despite feeling a bit isolated. The dining offered a good variety of foods, although some improvements are needed. Overall, a great experience with minor drawbacks.
